Safety Dog is a Season 1 episode of CatDog. In this episode, Cat is tired of Dog going on hurtful adventures so he advises Dog to become more safety conscious.

Plot
On rollerskates, Dog chases after a flock of pigeons, Cat getting physically harmed along the way. Tired of the constant abuse, Cat reminds Dog that he has nine lives while Dog only has one, something Cat would use to convince Dog to be more careful. Cat shows dog an educational video to give Dog direction to how to be safe, but it winds up working too well, and now Dog is paranoid over everything around him. This would soon cause more harm than good for Cat, who wants to break Dog free from his newfound fears. He would encourage Dog to make the most of his one life and would take him rollerskating, to Dog's reluctance and fear. However, as CatDog get into dangerous scenarios on the way, gradually this excites Dog and things quickly return to normal.

- During Dog's dream, Dog is not attached to Cat.
- Safety Sammy is a reference to the Saturday Night Live skit Mr. Bill, a claymation figure who gets tortured. They both try to do something good but fail. They even have similar catchphrases. Sammy's catchphrase is "Owie!", while Bill's is "Oh Nooo!"
- The Scissors are a reference on Sluggo, another nod to the Mr. Bill skits.
- The concept of nine lives would be explored in a later episode, aptly "Nine Lives".
