The Beach Rat had his first major role in Flea or Die!, where CatDog graze him as he is lounging and he scolds them for causing trouble. His fleas would proceed to leap onto CatDog and begin the conflict. As the other Nearburgers got corrective flea belts, it's possible the Beach Rat got one as well, as he is not seen with any fleas thereafter.
He would have another speaking role in Dog Come Home! after Dog accidentally invades a garbage can he is living in.
